Who
This training is for staff, supervisors and administrators who work in local districts, private nonprofit agencies, municipalities (city, county and state), HRA, ASC and other professionals providing assistance to survivors of gender-based and domestic violence.

What
This live web-based training is a basic introduction to gender-based and domestic violence: definitions, understanding power and control dynamics, and awareness of the statistics.

The training will also include:

  • Signs for recognizing/identifying domestic violence.
  • Understanding its impact.
  • The challenges of leaving.
  • The truth about victim safety.

With greater knowledge and resources, we can all better support victims of gender-based and domestic violence by being conscious bystanders and supportive allies.
