Death from bleeding is the number one preventable cause of death from injury. STOP THE BLEED® is one of our nation’s largest public health campaigns. Its goal is to save lives by training people across the country how to stop bleeding. National STOP THE BLEED® Day is a one-day call to action.
This May 20, on STOP THE BLEED day, join health care staff and emergency professionals from the region and take a few minutes to learn these skills. You can learn these skills safely for free in less than an hour.
Training
There are two options for learning Stop the Bleed:
- Hybrid: Watch the video online, then complete the hands-on skill training at any of our training locations.
- In-person: Attend a class in person at any of our training locations.

- Life Net Helo Base: 2751 Airport Road, Seneca Falls, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Livingston County EMS: 3360 Gypsy Lane, Mount Morris, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Northeast Quadrant ALS: 780 Ridge Road, Webster, 4 - 6 p.m.
- Spencerport Fire: 175 Lyell Ave., Spencerport, 4 - 6 p.m.
- Penfield Ambulance: 1585 Jackson Road, Penfield, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Rochester Fire Dept.: 704 Hudson Ave., Rochester, 10am-12pm, 2-4pm
- Western Wayne Amb. Lodge at Ginegaw Park: 3600 Lorraine Drive, Walworth, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 1 - 3 p.m., 4 - 6 p.m., 7 - 9 p.m.
