The National Academy of Medicine is pleased to collaborate with the Asian American Pacific Islander Nurses Association and the National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians to co-host “Advancing Health and Well-Being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Communities through Leadership Development and a Shared Health Equity Research Agenda.” This free virtual event will bring together leaders, researchers, and community members alongside professional organizations to discuss strategies for advancing health equity and leadership development for AANHPI communities.
The event will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions exploring topics such as the current state of health disparities among AANHPI communities, effective models for leadership development within AANHPI communities, and strategies for developing a shared health equity research agenda that addresses the unique needs of these communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions to exchange knowledge and ideas on how to improve health outcomes and well-being for AANHPI communities. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, this event aims to foster collaboration and inspire action towards achieving health equity for AANHPI communities.
