Public Health StoryLab: Harnessing Narrative for Public Health Impact
In this interactive 2-hour webinar, participants will explore how narrative shapes understanding, influences behavior, and supports equitable public health practice. Drawing from communication, social sciences, the arts, and public health, this session introduces storytelling as a powerful method for problem solving, collaboration, and interdisciplinary innovation.
This is not a passive webinar—participants will actively engage in the learning process. Throughout the session, you will work in small breakout rooms, use your microphone to talk with peers, and practice skills such as active listening, cross-cultural communication, and collaborative problem solving. Together, participants will experiment with co-creating brief, data-informed stories grounded in real community experiences.
By the end of the course, attendees will be better equipped to collaborate effectively and harness narrative as a tool for insight, advocacy, and population level impact.
