Cyber Threats to Public Health Systems: Preparedness Considerations

This webinar discusses cyber threats to public health and their implications for effective public health system functioning. Combining didactic and interactive content, the webinar builds participants’ applied knowledge about varied types of relevant cybersecurity challenges that public health agencies may face, and how these challenges can impact delivery of essential public health services. Content of this training will include best-practice guidance that public health agencies can implement to increase their organizational and jurisdictional resilience to an ever-broadening array of cyber threats to population health.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • describe cybersecurity’s relevance to the functioning of public health services and systems;
  • explain three types of cybersecurity vulnerabilities for public health; and
  • describe three strategies for building resilience toward cybersecurity threats to public health.
