Foundations of Antiracist Approaches to Addiction Prevention and Treatment

This one-hour virtual CE-eligible presentation provides an introductory, clinically focused overview of the historical roots of racism in health care and its impact on addiction prevention, treatment, and care. The session explores how systemic racism influences health outcomes and access to care and introduces approaches to integrating addiction-related services within an antiracist framework. Participants will also be introduced to harm reduction approaches and New York State–based resources grounded in antiracist principles.
