Eating Disorders in Pregnancy Care

Eating disorders during pregnancy require special care. This multi-faceted, interactive webinar explores the prevalence, complications, and treatment of a variety of eating disorders as well as specific research regarding eating disorders during pregnancy. A lived experience of having an eating disorder during pregnancy will highlight the consequences of eating disorders on maternal and child health. We will discuss how to identify eating disorders during pregnancy, review the development and validation of a new rapid screening tool, and examine the importance of sensitivity training. Finally, we will explore other topics in the perinatal period related to eating disorders prior to participating in the discussion of a case study.
