Shaping Diet, Shaping Health: Impact of Nutrition and Policy on U.S. Health Outcomes

 

Join the Region 2 Public Health Training Center for their November Log-in2Learn live webinar. Participants will learn about the impact of food insecurity on public health from Tamika Gillot, M.Sc. from Columbia University. This webinar examines the relationship between food insecurity and public health, emphasizing its impact on population well-being. Participants will explore the health consequences of food insecurity and learn evidence-based approaches to assess and address it within communities. The webinar also reviews the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and considers how recent federal policy decisions may affect its reach and effectiveness. Overall, the webinar highlights the critical influence of food policy and food insecurity on health outcomes. 

After the webinar, participants will be able to:
