Webinar: Public Health and Chamber of Commerce Partnerships
Chambers of commerce are membership associations comprised of local businesses. Chambers come in all sizes and have different structures depending on the issues and needs in their communities, but they commonly address issues that impact the community at large, generate economic prosperity and help businesses thrive. This means that they understand the perspectives of business owners and can serve as a bridge between the private sector and other segments of a community.
Working collaboratively with the business community can be a helpful strategy for public health departments, but it can be challenging to figure out where to start. In this webinar, join public health practitioners to hear how they have engaged chambers of commerce and other business organizations to make a positive health impact in local communities. In addition to sharing case studies from different communities, speakers will also elaborate on how they navigate working with the private sector and lessons learned along the way.
