When thinking about the impact of past and present justice involvement on individuals we in engage in a variety of settings there are multiple aspects to consider. One overarching theme is how do individuals deal with and process their past or present justice involvement. Whether they are a young person or an adult interaction with the justice system can have a profound impact. This presentation will lean into how to effectively connect with individuals who have had past or present justice involvement and the potential impact on the use of substances and mental health concerns using a whole person-centered trauma informed approach.
