Event Description
This webinar will provide guidance for caregivers in public health emergency response settings to help manage their stress levels and build resiliency by practicing self-care. We will discuss evidence-informed approaches for frontline public health and health care providers to practice self-care in public health crisis contexts, while enhancing self-awareness of signs of personal stress. We will also describe best practices for assisting coworkers experiencing excess stress.
At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- describe why prioritizing self-care in public health professionals and health care providers is important;
- describe signs of possible excess stress in oneself and one’s colleagues; and
- list at least five ways to practice daily self-care and one way to help colleagues who are experiencing excess stress.
